County Birder
Shows recent bird observations and nearby hotspots based on your location. View an interactive state map with counties colored by species count. Mark counties as visited, rate hotspots (birds and beauty), and track which species you've seen in each county. Import your eBird CSV to sync your life list. Auto-updates while traveling with audio alerts for new counties. Requires location access and an eBird API key.
Bird Data Explorer
Import your eBird CSV to explore your personal birding data. View summary stats (species, checklists, counties, states, countries). Browse your life list with search, sorting, and optional family grouping. See a timeline of life list growth by year. Interactive maps for US states/counties and Canadian provinces (work in progress), colored by species count. Drill down from species to states to counties to locations. All data stored locally.
Rare Bird Explorer
Find rare and notable bird sightings near your location. Configure search radius (up to 150 miles) and filter by days back (1-30). Sort results by date, distance, or species name. Import your eBird CSV to enable "lifers only" filtering and see which species you still need. Maintain a chase list with status tracking (want, chasing, seen, missed) and notes. Tap any sighting to open in Google Maps. Requires location access and an eBird API key.
Bird Puzzle
Daily bird identification game. A blurred photo gradually reveals from 6 AM to 9 PM Central Time. Type your guess to identify the species. Sign in with Google to appear on the leaderboard (first-guess solvers only) and track stats like day streak, total solves, and longest streak. See a chart of cumulative solves throughout the day. New puzzle each day.
