About the Attentional Blink
The Attentional Blink measures temporal attention - your ability to detect two targets in rapid succession.
- T1 (Target 1): The WHITE letter in the stream
- T2 (Target 2): The letter X (if present)
- Lag: Number of items between T1 and T2
- The Blink: T2 is often missed at Lags 2-4 (~200-400ms after T1)
- Lag 1 Sparing: T2 is often detected at Lag 1 (sneaks through!)
T2|T1 Accuracy = T2 correct when T1 was also correct (the key measure)
